The afternoon at the beach yesterday was GORGEOUS. The weather was perfect. Quite warm but at the lake there was a perfect breeze that made it completely bearable. Unfortunately we went for location and chose a beach closer to home which meant teen-age central. Seriously, I think the ladies in the photo above were the only other people on the beach over 20. Ugh! Not so great for the self-esteem, let me tell ya. The sad thing that I was thinking yesterday was that as much as I was looking around wishing I had a body like theirs they were probably all doing the very same thing. Not at ME mind you but at all the other perfect bodies on the beach. If they only realized how beautiful they are but at that age girls rarely do. Sad. Personally I wouldn't go back to that age for anything. If I did I'm sure I'd do alot of things differently but I actually much prefer 34 to 17. Anyway, I'm really hoping to spend another afternoon at the beach soon and capitalize on the little sun that I got yesterday before my tan is gone again. We'll see. And hopefully more pictures next time so I can actually have enough to scrap a beachy LO.
Thought I'd post a link to my etsy shop here since I've started posting bags over there and I'm trying to decide which shop works out best. I've marked down a few of the bags too so go check 'em out. :) And I posted a couple new bags in Jill's too. More coming later tonight.
Back to work. Happy wednesday everyone.
cuuute bags!!!! We are heading off to the beach today too..we all have the day off.
Happy Wednesday to you too!!

No comment on the teens at the beach. ;) i will also refrain from commenting on your body. I'll just say you have nothing to be insecure about. NOTHING!
I agree that I wouldn't go back to that age. The thought of going through college again makes me sick. Don't get me wrong, college was an AWESOME experience, but despite all the fun, it was also a lot of work. I'd probable go back to 30. Not really for any particular reason other than to change some of the poor decisions I made back then.

Um, chica? You realize the irony of that statement, right?? YOU, of all people, talking abt how you feel bad for those people feeling badly abt the way they look?? You, Ms. Gorgeous, who hates every pic I take of you?? :P
love, me <><

I TOTALLY agree with Leeandra! You ALWAYS look awesome and soooo CUTE! I must say that I expect your camera to see more use at your next beach trip. I WISH we had a beach here to relax at. Shoot... I just wish we had some kind of WATER. ;-) Oh... and did you get your layout finished? Miss... I am wide awake... plenty of wide awake time left... then she disappears... I am sure you fell asleep on me AGAIN! ;-)

Oh, I am right there with you. I never like how I look. I remember looking back on older pictures of me (like from our honeymoon) and thinking "Wow, I looked pretty darn good!" But you know what? I didn't feel that way at the time. Body image is such a hard thing. Why do we do that to ourselves?

Didn't I just post about the self-image thing? In fact, you are one of the people that I look at and wish I could look more like (how crazy is that?)
Anyway, you got a pic of my favorite lighthouse which is always nice to see. Can't wait to see more pics of the beach. I personally don't like to GO to the beach but I always like to see pics of it. Keep me away from the crowds and on my boat where I can hide my very shapely figure. ;)

Ah... thanks for the beach photo! :) Warmed up my very cold day!
Lol... what's with women always comparing our bodies to others hey? Can we ever be happy with the way we look? I know I am guilty as charged, lol, but I also know that it is not how I want to define myself anymore. I want to love me for ME, not love me if I look like THAT. Oh, I'm rambling...
I think it's a good idea to try Etsy for your gorgeous bags! Have you checked out The Switchboards? (www.thesweitchboards.com) Their forum is full of indie sellers trying to make it in the big world, and has a wealth of information! *wink*
Lots of hugs from your long-distance friend!
